ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister has advised Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Kamran Michael to go to Thar affected area and Distribute food and medicine and oversee the remedial activities there.
Federal Minister has given his pay of this month in the fund collected by Ministry of Ports and Shipping, at the advice of federal minister.
Moreover federal minister has directed Karachi port trust to give one day salary of each employee to this fund and 4.2 million rupees is going to be collected by this effort.
Federal Minister has also directed to purchase food items with this fund.
In first step, Ministry of Ports and Shipping, on the direction of federal Minister sending four teams consisting on Doctors, Nurses and Paramedical staff, will be departed tomorrow to affected area of thar to dispense their services.
Ministry of ports and shipping is giving medicines, worth of million rupees to these teams so that the diseased children can be cured.
Federal Minister also directed Port Qasim to follow the same instruction, issued to Karachi port and Federal Minister will himself distribute food packets to affected of Mithi.
