ISLAMABAD: Emerging Pakistan opening batsman Khurram Manzoor has said that the series against South Africa will be a great chance for achieving success and to cement a place in the team.
Talking to a Private news channel, Khurram said that playing against stronger opponents such as South Africa always helps the players to know more about their skills and polish them in order to get more of their game.
He said that he never lost hope after not being selected for bigger games and was determined to stage a comeback in Pakistan team.
Khurram said that he is fully aware that South Africa maintains a dreadful fast bowling attack led by Dale Steyn, but he was ready for the challenge.
"I am eager and looking forward to the South African challenge ahead," he said.
To a question he said that like other teammates he was also dishearted by the loss in the second Test against weaker opponent Zimbabwe but at the end of the day teams must learn from mistakes and move on.
"Though I scored half century in each innings. But I would have been happy had we won the match," he said.
He said ex-Pakistan captain Rashid Latif had been working on his technique and paid the dividend.
"Mark my international cricket in a convincing manner is my goal for that I am working really hard," Khurram maintained.
Khurram Manzoor made his debut Test against Sri Lanka with a 27 runs knock at National Stadium in 2009.
