imageKARACHI: Pakistan discard Shoaib Malik hit a sparkling unbeaten half century to guide PIA in the final of PCB Ramazan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament semi-final with an emphatic seven wickets victory over Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) on Tuesday night.

Fast emerging KRL left handed opener Zain Abbas smashed a brilliant 91 but failed to save KRL from defeat at National Stadium here.

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik powered his team into the final in style by hoisting Ali Khan for massive six at long-on. He cracked five four and one six in his 63 after facing 56 deliveries.

Left handed Sheharyar Ghani banged three fours in his 12-ball innings of 21 not out and added 38-run for the unbroken fourth wicket to seal victory for the airlines.

PIA made a solid start as Agha Sabir and Malik put on 57-runs for the first wicket in 50 balls. Agha Sabir went after making a delightful 35 off 25 with five powerful boundaries.

During the course of his innings Shoaib Malik crossed 200 runs in the event.

Earlier sent to bat first, KRL's openers gave their team a flying start of a solid start of 52 runs. Muhammad Yasin went for 31 and 29-ball knock was spiced with four hits to the ropes.

Zain Abbas added 74-run for third wicket partnership with Saeed Anwar Jr. Zain blasted a spectacular 91 off 66-ball 91 studded with 11 boundaries and three towering sixes. Debutant Salman Saeed, finished an excellent figures of three wickets for 29 runs.
