ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Political Affairs Maula Bakhsh Chandio has said that caretaker Prime Minister would be nominated in consultation with all stakeholders.
Talking to a state television channel, he said that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) had followed the policy of reconciliation to evolve consensus on critical national issues with opposition parties.
The Minister said that all political parties agreed on the continuity of democratic process in the country.
He said that democratic government is fully committed to ensure free, fair and transparent election for strong democratic institutions in the country.
Chandio said that election commissioner, Fakhraddin G Ibrahim was selected with the consensus of all political stakeholders to ensure transparency in coming general election.
He said that anti-democratic forces are spreading propaganda against the democratic institutions to de-stabilize democracy in Pakistan.
Replying to another question, he said that PPP has respect for all the institutions, including election commission and every institution should work in their constitutional boundaries.
Chandio said that continuity of democratic system and strong institutions has the only solution of all the challenges faced by country today.
