LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif taking notice of Badami Bagh incident directed the IG Police to take prompt action against the persons involved in it and all necessary steps for the protection of affectees.
On receiving information regarding Badami Bagh incident, the CM cancelled all his engagements and immediately convened an emergent meeting about this incident.
The Chief Minister cancelled the dinner to be hosted in honour of contractors and officials of concerned departments regarding construction of metro bus project and sent all meal to the affectees.
Later, during a press conference, the Chief Minister informed the media about the decisions taken in the meeting for rehabilitation of the affectees.
