KHANEWAL/JAHANIAN: Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik on Sunday said that two groups of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) were working in Pakistan ,one under Malik Ishaq and the other under the leadership of Maulana Ludhianvi.

Speaking to the media in Sahiwal, Malik added that all provinces needed to take action against terrorism and that if the Punjab government had acted on letters sent by him pertaining to the LeJ, a tragedy such as the one on Kirani road in Quetta would not have taken place.

Malik said that after the 18th amendment, law and order was the responsibility of the provincial governments.

The interior minister added that information regarding an attack on the Hazara community had been given four days earlier, he questioned, as to whose fault it was if the attack could not be stopped.

Talking to media Jahanian, Interior Minister said enemies were working to destabilize the country but their nefarious designs would be foiled by forging unity.

He said when Taliban became weak they talked about dialogue; however‚ the government would form a strong team to have a dialogue with them.

"We don't want to see suicide vests in the hands of our future generations", Malik said.

He said a list of 734 terrorists had been provided to the Punjab government and those people should have been arrested.

Rehman Malik lamented that the Punjab government took only halfhearted action against Lashkar-e-Jhangvi on the information provided by the federal government.

He warned Shahbaz Sharif to stop using indecent language against President Asif Ali Zardari and threatened to use uglier words against Sharif brothers in return.
