LAHORE: Acting Inspector General of Police Punjab Khan Baig said that complete security would be provided to Dr Tahirul Qadri in the long march on January 14.
This decision was made in a high level meeting held here at Central Police Office under the chairmanship of IGP.
The meeting decided to appoint coordinator to DIG Operations Punjab Sohail Ahmad Khan regarding security arrangements of long march while Inspector Zaigam will perform duty of Security Coordination in all the districts from Elite Police Force from start to terminate the long march. Elite Police Force will escort the caravan of Dr Tahirul Qadri from Lahore while further officials would be deputed in sensitive routes of long march.
Relevant district police will be responsible of the security of the caravan of long march.
A control room has been set up in CCPO Lahore for the security of long march where a team of senior police officers will monitor.
