Sony Pictures has decided to come up with the remake of one of the best horror flick of 90’s ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. It is currently in making and will hit theatres in 2016.
Directed by Jim Gillespie, the original ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ was loosely based on the novel of the same name by ‘Lois Duncan’ and revolved around a group of teenagers who were tormented by a hook-handed man they drunkenly hit with their car and left for dead. It featured the so-very-90s ensemble of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr., and even featured a cameo by Anne Heche.
‘Oculus’ director Mike Flanagan is teaming up with the film’s original producer Neal Moritz to remake the film, which is a pretty safe bet for Sony, the 1997 version grossed $125 million worldwide, then spawned a sequel the following year, media reported.
The cast and crew of the movie are not confirmed yet and will be disclosed soon.
