MOSCOW: Russia's consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.2 percent in January in year-on-year terms after rising 2.5 percent in the previous month, the statistics service said on Wednesday.
Month-on-month inflation was at 0.3 percent from 0.4 percent in December.
The year-on-year increase in the CPI was slightly below the Reuters poll of analysts who predicted a rise of 2.3 percent.
