Fifteen more killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Bloodshed continued in Karachi as 15 more people were killed in fresh spate of target killing on Thursday.

Three persons were shot dead near Nursery Bridge in Karachi while three gunny bagged bodies were also found.

Unknown assailant opened fire at a hi-roof near Nursery Bridge at Shahra e Faisal and killed three ulemas including Mufti Abdul Majeed, Mufti Saleh and Ahsan Ali Shah. Police have also taken the CCTV fotage of the incident.

Following the incident, riots emerged in different areas of Karachi including Guru Mandar and Patel Para.

Two persons were gunned down near Northern Bypass in Surjani Town of Karachi.

Three bodies, bearing torture marks and bullet wounds to the heads, were found stuffed in gunny bags in Qaimkhani colony, Baldia town.

The victims, identified as Irfan Islam, Amjad Farooq and Mohammad Jameel, were abducted a day earlier from Orangi town’s Mominabad area.

Another tortured body was found in Timber market area of Karachi. Moreover, three dead bodies were found from Pak Colony, Napier and Sabzi Mandi police jujrisdictions.

In Landhi-5 area a man named Danish , was killed in gun firing while resisting dacoity near the meat market.

Police and Rangers contingents have been deployed at various points of the city, who have started snap checking.
