SITTWE: A top United Nations envoy arrived in unrest-hit western Myanmar on Wednesday following an outbreak of religious violence that has left dozens dead.

Vijay Nambiar, UN chief Ban Ki-moon's special adviser on Myanmar, flew into the capital of restive Rakhine state, according to an AFP reporter. He will visit strife-hit areas near the border with Bangladesh, a senior official said.
