ATHENS: Greece's left-led government submitted a bill to parliament which increases tax, frees up the sale of bank non performing loans and sets up a new privatisation fund with its foreign creditors in exchange for more bailout funds on Wednesday.
Lawmakers are expected to vote on the bill on May 22, two days before a crucial meeting of euro zone finance ministers who will assess whether Athens qualifies for bailout aid and more debt relief.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has a narrow majority of 153 lawmakers in the 300-seat parliament and the vote is expected to test his coalition government's popularity.
