US government to expand biofuels forecasts as renewable diesel sector grows

Surging demand for renewable diesel is part of a larger global transition to green fuels, and could increase prices of crops such as soybeans and canola it is derived from.
The EIA is planning to begin incorporating renewable diesel data in its Petroleum Supply Monthly report, with a goal to publish data for January by the end of this month, EIA told Reuters.

US natgas futures edge up on cold forecasts, big storage draw

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said US utilities pulled 192 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas from storage during the colder than normal week ended Jan. 29.
Front-month gas futures rose 2.2 cents, or 0.8%, to $2.811 per million British thermal units.

US natgas falls over 3pc on small storage draw, lower demand forecasts

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said utilities pulled just 128 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas from storage in the week ended Jan. 22.
Last week's decrease cut stockpiles to 2.881 trillion cubic feet (tcf), which was still 9.3% above the five-year average of 2.637 tcf for this time of year.
