imageISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Monday accorded approval to the Prime Minister's advice on a number of summaries initiated by the National Assembly Secretariat.

According to a press release, on a summary, the President accorded his assent to the Countervailing Duties Bill, 2015 under clause (1) of Article 70 read with Article 75 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Countervailing Duties Bill, 2015 was originated in the Senate and passed by it on August 04, 2015.

The National Assembly has also passed the said Bill on August 12, 2015 without any amendment. The Bill seeks to reform and repeal the Countervailing Duties Ordinance, 2001 (I of 2001).

On a summary initiated by the NA Secretariat, the President approved the Prime Minister's advice on the Anti-Dumping Duties Bill, 2015 under clause (1) of Article 70 read with Article 75 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Anti-Dumping Duties Bill, 2015 was originated in the Senate and passed by it on August 04, 2015. The National Assembly has also passed the said Bill on August 12, 2015 without any amendment. The Bill seeks to reform and repeal the Anti-Dumping Duties Ordinance, 2000 (LXV of 2000).

Similarly on another summary, the President has approved the Prime Minister's advice to accord his assent to the National Tariff Commission Bill, 2015 under clause (1) of Article 70 read with Article 75 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The National Tariff Commission Bill, 2015 was originated in the Senate and passed by it on August 04, 2015.

The National Assembly has also passed the said Bill on August 12, 2015 without any amendment. The Bill seeks to reform and repeal the National Tariff Commission Act, 1990 (VI of 1990).
