imageISLAMABAD: Leader of Awami National Party Ameer Haider Khan Hoti here on Wednesday said that political parties in the Parliament were fighting for the continuity and strengthening of the democracy.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said, the parliamentarians are discussing national issues and making legislations.

He said unfortunately, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek do not believe in constitution and rule of law.

Hoti said, all the political parties are unanimous that no one would be allowed to derail the democracy.

To a question, he said, legislators in the parliament are unanimous that no unconstitutional demands of any political party should be accepted.

He criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister and his cabinet for not paying attention to the problems of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw and participating in the sit-in here.

"No-confidence has been moved against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and it would be insult of the people of the province if assembly was dissolved," he added.

To a question, he said, the government was showing flexibility in the dialogue process with PTI but other side is not exhibiting the same.
