imageMUZAFFARGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Thursday that the government would provide all possible resources to south Punjab to raise living standard of the masses.

Presiding over a meeting at Tayyip Erdogan Hospital here, he said modern education and health facilities would be provided to the masses of south Punjab.

He said the hospital constructed with the help of the Turkish government would consist of 500 beds and patients from other cities would also benefit from it.

He said all arrangements for the hospital had been completed which would be operational from June 18.

The chief minister said staff, including doctors, would arrive here from Turkey to provide their services in the hospital at least for one year.

The chief minister also approved provision of gas to Emine Erdogan Danish Care Girls High School at a cost of with Rs 44 million.

He directed the administration to install solar panel system instead of generators to provide uninterrupted power supply to the school.

He hinted at construction of a similar boys school for which funds were already earmarked.

He directed to start bus service from Muzaffargarh city to the hospital and school directly.

Shahbaz Sharif ordered to depute medical staff for 50 houses of Turkish Model village with foolproof security arrangements, including installation of CCTv cameras.

Earlier, Secretary Health Ejaz Muneer and Secretary Education Abdul Jabbar Shaheen gave briefing to the CM Punjab over construction and arrangements at the hospital and school.

The chief minister was informed that Emine Erdogan Danish Care Girls School would start work from upcoming September under supervision of the Danish School Authority and Care Foundation.

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashood, Social Welfare Minister Haroon Sultan Bukhari, Advisor on Health Salman Rafique, Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema, MPAs Zeeshan Ahmad Gurmani, Alamadar Abbas Qureshi, Qaswar Kareem Langrial, Ahmad Yar Hunjra, Mian Imran Qureshi, Muhammad Khan Jatoi, Murtaza Raheem Khar, DCO Shukat Ali and others were also present.
