LAHORE: Punjab Governor Makhdum Syed Ahmad Mahmud has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Jamat-e-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmed.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family here on Sunday, the Punjab governor said Qazi Hussain Ahmed was a great leader and his demise was an irreparable loss to his family as well as the whole country which had been deprived of a great statesman and human being.
Makhdum prayed to Allah, the Almighty, to rest the departed soul in peace and grant sustenance to the family to bear the loss with equanimity.
