ISLAMABAD: The Rohtas Art Gallery has scheduled a biggest showing of Pakistani Contemporary Art at the National Art Gallery here on September 24 to celebrate Rohtas Gallery's 30th anniversary.
More than 65 artists will display in excess of 160 works. The artists are recognized worldwide and the show will celebrate the contribution the Rohtas Gallery has made over three decades to the development of contemporary art in Pakistan.
In this regard the gallery will hold a Press Conference on September 15. Naeem Pasha, Rohtas Gallery founder and architect of the National Art Gallery and Quddus Mirza, art critic, artist and curator of the Contemporary Art Show will brief media about the value of contemporary art and the importance of the show.
"The show will be an opportunity to show another side of Pakistan, a side that is about creativity, art and culture," said an official of the gallery.
