KARACHI: Katie Holmes is all set to premiere her fashion line ‘Holmes & Yang’ at New York Fashion Week.
The maturing designer will reportedly show her Holmes & Yang clothing collection at “the tents,” mother of all fashion week venues at Lincoln centre.
“This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny,” an insider told a leading media tabloid.
The 33-year-old former Dawson’s Creek actress will show her line the same day that good friend Victoria Beckham will.
According to media Beckham usually picks the public library as her venue of choice and shows the collection early morning.
Holmes and her long-time stylist Jeanne Yang launched the fashion line Holmes & Yang in the fall of 2009. Their ‘Fall 2012 collection’ was made available at Barneys in New York City and was inspired by Diane Keaton. The line includes camisoles, suits, gowns and separates. Pieces range from $325 to thousands of dollars.
Holmes is set to present her Holmes & Yang lines on September 9. After divorcing from Cruise, Holmes has shifted her focus on her career. She is set to star in a play this November as well as has two movies in the works.
