Yuvraj Singh back in team India

KARACHI: Yuvraj Singh has been named in the 15-member squad for the ICC World Twenty20 Championship which starts from September 18.

Singh, the man of the tournament in World Cup 2011, last played for India in November 2011 before being diagnosed with a rare germ cell cancer.

The decision of selection was made after a detailed assessment of Singh’s fitness report. However, doctors had earlier declared him fit to play.

Singh has been working out at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after his treatment. NCA sources said he has done enough to dispel any doubts about whether he has adequate stamina.
