ISLAMABAD: The government in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) has allocated Rs1311.348 million for projects of Science and Technological Research Division in budget for FY 2012-13.
According to official data available, Rs6.616 million have been earmarked for Prime Minister's gold medal including funding for PhD abroad for overall best student of the year.
For up-gradation and modernization of pilot plants at PCSIR laboratories Lahore, Rs20.00 million have been allocated,while the expenditure for the same project till June 2012 was Rs93.964 million.
While for upgradation and modernization of workshop facilities at PCSIR Labs,Peshawar, Rs30.000 million were allocated and expenditure on the same project upto June 2012 was Rs64.229 million.
While for establishment of Pakistan Institute of Cost and Contracts (PICC),Rs3.00 million have been earmarked , with no foreign aid, while Rs10.00 mln was the expenditure on the same project up to June 2012.
As far as Enhancement and Management of groundwater resources in Balochistan is concerned,Rs2.000 million have been earmarked, while the total estimated cost for the same project during last FY was Rs38.680 million, and Rs37.680 million were expended till June 2012.
While for enhancement of IT infrastructure for Research and Development at Hazara University,Mansehra, Rs10.000 million are allocated, and the expenditure on the same project till June 2012 was Rs30.502 million.
