After missing out central contract pacer Hasan Ali has suffered another injury setback due to recurring back injury which will rule him out of action for up to six months.

The 25-year-old had already been out of action for over three months due to back injury and fractured ribs, respectively. He returned to action in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five, which was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.

Ali remained out of action for over three months in 2019 due to back injury and fractured ribs, respectively.

As per Cricket Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is closely monitoring the situation and has also reached out to doctors overseas, in order to assess the nature of Ali’s injury. The decision on whether to carry out a surgery will be taken after their opinion is taken under consideration.

The pacer also missed out PCB’s central contract for the upcoming 12-month period, yesterday.
