(Karachi) In wake of coronavirus outbreak, Sindh government has banned holding of processions and public gathering on Youm-e-Ali and during the month of Ramazan, media reported on Tuesday. A notification in this regard has been issued.

As per details, the provincial government banned all sorts of processions and gatherings till further notice. People have been advised to pray at homes and exercise social distancing.

The move aims to curb spread of the deadly disease that has claimed more than 300 lives since the virus spread in the country.

Earlier, the total number of deaths in Sindh due to coronavirus rose to 92 after seven more patients died.

The province conducted 4,112 tests out of which 335 people tested positive. There are now 5291 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sindh while 37 more patients have recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 963 in the province.
