Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing & Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest & Wildlife Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said "to make sure that our health sector did face the burden it could not cope with and to ensure that our economy could start to operate again without the virus taking off, all of us had to continue cooperating with each other."

Provincial Minister for Information said "the worst thing we could do for our country was to yo-yo between partial and complete lockdown or indecisiveness. Timely decisions in the time of pandemic was utmost important."

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah once again requested the people to must exercise self-isolation to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Provincial Minister for Information said it was an unprecedented time and that exceptional time demanded some unusual and strictest ever measures. He said the Sindh government had never made those decisions with contentment. But the government had left with no other choice, he added.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that as this was an evolving situation therefore the government kept on reviewing the restrictions it was placing on various sectors. Provincial Minister for Information said all those restrictions were for the health and lives of the people. "We are tough resilient people and we have faced many difficult situations in the past and this shall pass too," the Minister said.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said the respected religious scholars and clerics would be approached again for their cooperation during the holy month of Ramazan. He said "any type of gathering of the people is dangerous until we were facing the spread of coronavirus," and hoped the Ulema would cooperate with the Sindh government as they had been since Feb 26.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that according to a clause of the agreement, the Ulema signed with the President, the agreement could be reviewed or even abolished if the situation changed.-PR
