On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,368. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.811 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,044.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 643.961 million, followed by Crude Oil PKR 524.113 million, NSDQ100 PKR 477.287 million, Platinum PKR 409.051 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 266.496 million, Silver PKR 192.070 million, Palladium PKR 107.027 million, DJ PKR 90.397 million, Natural Gas PKR 63.128 million, SP500 PKR 22.128 million, Japan Equity PKR 7.380 million, Copper PKR 4.290 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 3.851 million.
In agriculture commodities 13 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 7.058 million were traded.
