On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,371. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.472 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,535.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.727 billion, followed by Silver PKR 701.675 million, Platinum PKR 539.338 million, NSDQ100 PKR 426.167 million, Crude Oil PKR 299.092 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 273.130 million, DJ PKR 221.210 million, Natural Gas PKR 136.404 million, Copper PKR 71.177 million, SP500 PKR 39.486 million, Palladium PKR 35.368 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 1.594million.
In agriculture commodities 20 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 10.796 million were traded.
