The ongoing spell of cold weather has affected the transmission system of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), leading to an increase in the duration of load shedding in the city.
Chief Executive Officer LESCO Mujahid Pervaiz Chatta said the disks are experiencing short-circuiting due to the wet impact of fog in the city. According to him, washing of the disk for the resumption of power supply takes time that is resulting in load shedding in the city. He has expressed the hope that the power supply situation would improve with the end of cold weather in the city.
