The Ministry of Interior has asked officers and officials of its attached departments neither to interact with media nor upload any official view on any issue on social media.
According to a notification issued by Ministry of interior, the ministry has directed that neither any officer/official would interact with media nor will upload any official view, comment on social media or any other channel of information, except with the formal and written approval of the secretary interior or head of the attached department.
The attached departments of Interior Ministry include Islamabad Police, National Database and Registration Authority, Federal Investigation Agency, Directorate General of Civil Defense, Frontier Corps, Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Sindh, Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, National Counter Terrorism Authority, National Police Academy, Immigration and Passport Directorate, Inspector General Frontier Constabulary (North), IG FC (South), Pakistan Coast Guard, DG Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts.
