On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,282. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.701 billion and the number of lots traded was 4,191.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 661.317 million, followed by Crude Oil PKR 538.367 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 431.923 million, Natural Gas PKR 281.585 million, NSDQ100 PKR 195.047 million, Platinum PKR 153.448 million, Silver PKR 136.634 million, DJ PKR 121.369 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 109.893 million, SP500 PKR 30.672 million, Palladium PKR 28.801 million and Copper PKR 12.315 million. In agriculture commodities 13 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 6.581 million were traded.
