Pakistan conducts successful training launch of Shaheen-1 ballistic missile

Pakistan conducted the successful training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Shaheen-I, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor announced on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, DG ISPR announced the successful training launch of the missile.The DG ISPR said that Shaheen-1 is capable of delivering all types of warheads upto range of 650 kilometres. "Launch was aimed at testing operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) ensuring Pakistan’s credible minimum deterrence," he wrote.

The director general Strategic Plans Division, commander Army Strategic Forces Command, NESCOM chairman, senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists and engineers witnessed the training launch.
