  • Musa Khan, alongside fast bowler Naseem Shah, would be making their debut against Australia.
  • Shoaib Akhtar believes Misbah-ul-Haq has done justice for when it comes to picking fast bowlers.

Former Pakistan fast bowler has advised budding speedster Musa Khan to play aggressively, as the uncapped player makes his much anticipated debut against Australia in the upcoming tour Down Under.

“I have told Musa to bowl with an aggressive attitude and announce himself by bowling short deliveries even if he goes for runs,” said the speedster, who boost bowling records while talking to a private channel.

Mohammad Musa alongside newbie pacer Naseem Shah have been picked for the tour of Australia. Meanwhile, uncapped middle-order batsman Khushdil Shah and wrist spinner Usman Qadir have also been selected for the tour.

Talking about Pakistan strategy for the upcoming series, the fast bowler was of the view that Pakistan should not go for playing defensive cricket against Australia. He further said that he believes that Misbah-ul-Haq has done justice to Pakistan when it comes to fast bowling.

Akhtar said that he believes that the young guns would be able to perform for their side in the coming series and would actually be appreciated by the Australian media, if the youngsters are able to showcase their skills.

Earlier, Pakistan cricket chief selector-cum- head coach Misbah-ul-Haq at a presser on Monday said that the upcoming duo would give them the opportunity to express themselves.

“It’s a brave and bold decision to select the likes of Musa and Naseem, but we know that their fresh and attacking approach will give us something different. The Australian wickets will give them the opportunity to express themselves, gain valuable experience and it will help us to take 20 wickets to win the Tests,” said Misbah.

“I am pretty sure these two lads will surprise a lot of people with their pace, controlled swing and ability to bowl long spells at a consistent speed,” he added.
