Published August 20, 2019

WARSAW: Polish mobile operator Play Communications is expected to report a 17-percent rise in its second quarter net profit compared to the same period a year ago due to higher revenues, lower national roaming costs and a decrease in financial costs, a Reuters poll showed on Tuesday.

Play is expected to report a net profit of 234 million zlotys ($59.50 million), with revenues rising by 2 percent year-on-year, the average forecast from nine banks and brokerages showed.

This would peg the net profit in the first half of the year at 448 million zlotys.

Adjusted EBITDA, or earnings before interest, tax and amortisation, excluding one-off items, is expected to rise by 10 percent to 605 million zlotys, the poll showed.
