Modi govt’s ‘fascist tactics’ will fail miserably to smother Kashmiri liberation struggle: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government's 'fascist tactics' in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) to smother the Kashmiri liberation struggle will fail miserably.

On Friday, the premier took to his official Twitter handle and wrote that the fascist, Hindu supremacist Narendra Modi government should know that while armies, militants and terrorists can be defeated by superior forces, history tells that when a nation unites in a freedom struggle, no force can stop it from achieving its goal.

In another tweet, the prime minister continued that,"That is why the Hindutva exclusivist creed of the Modi-led govt with its fascist tactics in IoK will fail miserably in its attempt to smother the Kashmiri liberation struggle."

On Thursday, the prime minister questioned the international community's silence on IoK. "I want to warn the international community if it allows this to happen, it will have severe repercussions and reactions in the Muslim world, setting off radicalisation and cycles of violence," he added.

Since its abrogation of Article 370 from Indian constitution which grants special status to IoK, India has imposed a curfew and deployed tens of thousands of troop reinforcements.
