Leisure Leagues National Championship qualifying round commences next week as 78 different city champion teams will feature at 13 venues of the country in the group round. The qualifying round will kick start when nine different city champion teams will assemble in Sukkur next week. Another ten teams will travel to Tando Jam. Quetta will host 16 teams in the regional round. Meanwhile, Islamabad, Mingora, Swabi, Lahore, Sialkot, Gujrat, Multan, Gilgit and Passu will each host four champion teams from nearby cities and towns. Sindh champion team will arise after conclusion of round matches between 19 teams in Sukkur and Tando Jam and final to be played at Tando Jam's Agriculture University Football Ground.
The top team from the 20 teams, which will play qualifying round in KPK, Baltistan and Islamabad, will make it to the four-team Leisure Leagues National Championship. The regional final of the KPK, Baltistan and Islamabad will be held in Peshawar. The National Championship will be hosted in Karachi on July 28. Quetta will host the regional qualifying finals where 19 teams of Balochistan will be seen in action with one team making it to the national finals.
As earlier mentioned, one team from each of the four regions, namely Punjab, KPK (Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK included), Balochistan and Sindh will battle to become national champion in Karachi on July 28 in Leisure Leagues National Championship. The team that will win Leisure Leagues National Championship will qualify to represent Pakistan in the second edition of Socca World Cup, which will be held in Crete, Greece from October 12 to 20.
