The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Friday arrested Aftab Fatiana brother of PTI's MNA Riaz Ahmad Fatiana from the Lahore High Court after dismissal of his bail petition in a fraud case. The ACE had lodged a case against Aftab Fatiana and others on charges of tempering with the record of revenue department in Kamalia to get a 50-acre piece of land transferred into his name he already sold to complainant Ahmad Kamboh.
Earlier, the ACE's counsel told the court that Fatiana had been found guilty in investigation and he did not deserve relief of the bail. He said custody of the accused was required to complete investigation and to arrest his accomplices.
On the other side, the defence counsel rejected the prosecution story and termed the case baseless and politically motivated.
The court after hearing both the sides dismissed the bail petition of Fatiana and the ACE personnel arrested him from the court premises Fatiana.
