On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,897. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.372 billion and the number of lots traded 10,575.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.334 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.549 billion, DJ PKR 1.407 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.039 billion, gold PKR 599.933 million, platinum PKR 174.924 million, silver PKR 105.588 million, SP500 PKR 99.904 million, natural gas PKR 46.273 million, Brent crude oil PKR 11.208 million and copper PKR 4.086 million. In agriculture commodities 6 lots of cotton valued at PKR 12.119 million were traded.
