Prime Minister Imran Khan will undertake a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia from May 30-31 to attend Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) summit, besides holding talks with Saudi leadership on issues of mutual interest.
Diplomatic sources said that besides attending the OIC summit, the Prime Minister will also hold meeting with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other senior Saudi leadership.
During the talks, they said that the two sides are expected to hold discussions on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, cooperation in various areas including trade and economy as well as regional situation.
The Prime Minister's visit comes at a time when the country is facing a grim economic situation and the two sides may also discuss further steps of cooperation in this regard.
On October 03, 2018, Saudi Arabia announced to give $6 billion bailout package for Pakistan's ailing economy - $3 billion for balance of payment support and another $3bn in shape of deferred payments on oil imports. During his stay in Saudi Arabia, the sources said that the Prime Minister will perform Umrah.
