The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Syed Aijaz Ali Shah has directed the District Health Officer Hyderabad and other concerned officers to expedite the campaign against HIV/AIDS and take practical measures. He directed to adopt strategy to make people aware about HIV/AIDS and adopting precautionary measures for keeping themselves from HIV / AIDS. He was presiding over a meeting regarding taking precautionary measures against HIV/AIDS at Circuit House Hyderabad Friday. The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad said that due to lack of knowledge HIV/AIDS had spread more in rural areas than the people living in the urban areas.
