On achieving the milestone completion of the Single Window Facility, with support from World Bank Group's Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project and Doing Business Reform Advisory, that will enable a fully automated process for obtaining construction permits, I congratulate the Sindh Building Control Authority. The importance of improving investment climate is an undeniable priority for progress in Sindh, and in turn for Pakistan.
The Investment Department Sindh has been working relentlessly to modernize and reform business regulations in the province. The efforts have started to pay off, and after a decade of continuous decline in international rankings, World Bank's Doing Business Report for 2019 shows Pakistan's global rank has risen by 11 places. The Government of Sindh has implemented more than 15 reforms aimed at reducing procedural burden for businesses, and we hope to continue to take strides towards automation of essential regulatory governance, and in turn improve transparency, accountability and efficiency.
