Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazl ur Rehman on Monday telephoned former premier Nawaz Sharif and enquired about his health and well being. Fazl also shared his views about the country's current situation. On the request of JUI(F) Chief, Nawaz agreed to hold a meeting today (Tuesday) to discuss important issues, the sources said. "The meeting will take place at Jati Umra."
After meeting with Nawaz, the JUI Chief will also meet PPP leader and former president Asif Ali Zardari. The sources claimed that Maulana Fazl is making efforts for formation of a grand alliance of opposition parties against the incumbent PTI government.
