After surface of polio case in union council Mirakhel of Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is the second polio case in Pakistan this year, the preparations have been made to initiate urgent polio vaccination campaign in Bannu and its surrounding areas on February 18. The polio case was confirmed in Bannu on Friday, increasing the cases to two in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2019. The first case was reported from Bajaur tribal district few days ago.
The victim child, 24-month-old Rehan, hails from Chak Karim village of Bannu.
