On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,679. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 16.344 billion and the number of lots traded 27,086.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 8.191 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 3.932 billion, platinum PKR 1.096 billion, gold PKR 886.531 million, DJ PKR 792.779 million, currencies through COTS PKR 740.928 million, natural gas PKR 453.918 million, SP500 PKR 137.829 million, copper PKR 46.353 million, silver PKR 37.642 million and Brent crude oil PKR 27.606 million. In agriculture commodities 8 lots of cotton valued PKR 4.400 million were traded.
