The incidents of crimes, including robbery, kidnapping, mobile snatching and carjacking, registered an increase in the federal capital during the last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder through registered FIRs here on Saturday, over 15 cases of various kinds of theft, kidnapping and snatching were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week.
Secretariat police station in a crackdown against drug traffickers arrested one Bilal near the Quaid-e-Azam University with 1,060 kilograms of hashish. The arrested person was reportedly supplying drugs to the university students.
According to details, the auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number LEB-9775 of a citizen Khalid Mehmood from the area of Margalla police station.
A victim Waqar Aslam filed a complaint with Kohsar police station that an accused Kaleem Ullah stole his laptop, cellphone and other valuables worth Rs 130,000. In another incident, motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number ML-577 of one Asghar Shafiq.
One Qamar Wiqas filed a complaint with Sihala police station that three unknown armed persons snatched a bike (RIN-656) and cash worth Rs 34,000 at gunpoint from him.
Similarly, a citizen Rizwan Shahzad informed Sihala police station that two armed persons snatched cash and a cellphone from him. The auto thieves stole a bike (RIR-7997) of one Muhammad Aqib in the area of Lohi Bher. Another Abdul Wali filed a complaint with Lohi Bher police station that unknown robbers stole cash, prize bonds and gold ornaments from his house.
Similarly, the robbers broke into the house of one Shahid Rashid and snatched gold ornaments worth Rs 600,000 at gunpoint in the limits of Lohi Bher police station.
One Riasat Khan informed Bhara Kahu police station that unknown armed robbers broke into his house and snatched cash, foreign currency and cell phones. In another incident, one Muhammad Ibrar informed Bhara Kahu police station that unidentified persons snatched his bike (FDR-3689) and Rs 30,000 cash from him at gunpoint.
The auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIP-3852 of one Abdul Qadeer from the area of Tarnol police station. They also lifted a bike (RIM-8305) of a citizen Faza Ameen.
One Asif Mehmood filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unknown robbers stormed into the house of his uncle and stole gold ornaments and other valuables valuing Rs 200,000.
The auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIO-2692 of a citizen Muhammad Ayub while another bike ARM-233 of victim Shahid Waqar was also lifted. They also stole a car bearing registration number FDA-1061 of one Khalid Mehmood.
One Muhammad Shakeel filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unknown armed persons snatched a cellphone from him at gunpoint. Similarly, in another incident a citizen Kamran Khan filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unidentified persons snatched a cell phone from him.
One Arif Masih filed a complaint with Khanna police station that two armed persons snatched his bike from him at gunpoint. One citizen Ghulam Hussain filed a complaint with Karachi Company police station that an accused Ali Raza had kidnapped his daughter.
The auto thieves stole a bike (AUR-333) of one Muhammad Zain from the area of Ramna police station. One Ferman Ahmed Khan filed a complaint with Ramna police station that unknown people had kidnapped his brother Superintendent of Police (Rural) Peshawar, Tahir Khan.
The motor vehicle thieves lifted a bike SS-70 of one Zakir Ullah from Sabzi Mandi. In another incident, one Ghazala Asif registered a complaint with Sabzi Mandi police station that unknown robbers stole her laptop, UPS, CDR, NVR and other valuables from Islamabad Model School for Girls.
One Muhammad Younus filed a complaint with Shahzad Town police station that unknown persons had kidnapped his brother Hafiz Muhammad Ishaq. The carjackers stole a bike bearing registration number RIL-1923 of one Mazhar Hussain from the parking area of a mosque in Shams Colony.
