I take this opportunity to reaffirm the mission of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) democratically elected government to provide a solid foundation to our economy, so that we can get rid of the frequent boom and bust cycles. It is only through a strong economic foundation that we can improve the living standards of people of Pakistan. We have started the process of wide ranging structural reforms which are essential to put the economy on the right track. We hope that we will be able to achieve this objective with the help and support of the people of Pakistan who are extremely passionate about their country. The government is faced with massive challenges but we are confident that we will rise to the occasion and deliver what is expected of us.
PTI leadership is determined to take measures for enhancing revenue, controlling expenditures and meeting our financing needs in a prudent manner. I would like to emphasize that the government will accord equal value and importance to well being of all sectors of the economy, be it agriculture, industry, or the services sector. All these sectors have to contribute optimally for a prosperous Pakistan and the government will ensure provision of an enabling environment for them to achieve that objective.
Let me assure the masses once again that economy of Pakistan will be put on a sound footing by fully exploiting the immense potential of the people and resources available to us. It is Pakistan's destiny to be a great country. But we all need to work together and give our best to make that happen. We look forward to having a Pakistan that is in line with the aspirations of the founder of the nation, a country where there is justice for all, and where peace and prosperity prevail. God help us! The journey for changing the fate of Pakistan has begun.
