RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Monday removed encroachments from Civil Line Housing Scheme graveyard and directed the encroachers to remove the encroachments on their own to avoid strict action.
According to a spokesman, the RDA enforcement cell on the directive of Director General, Muhammad Hayat Lak continued its anti-encroachment drive and demolished illegal and unauthorized temporary and permanent constructions from Civil Line Housing Scheme graveyard and warned that strict action would be taken against the rules' violators.
He said, Kinza Murtaza, Director Land Development and Estate Management, Muhammad Anwar Baran, Head of Demolition Squad, RDA and Estate Management Wing’s staff conducted the operation and cleared the encroachments which were constructed in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976.
The spokesman said, the DG had ordered the authorities concerned to take strict action against encroachments without any discrimination.
