 KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Law and Anti-Corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab Friday said that the Sindh government has decided to appoint 1500 doctors without written examination as the process adopted by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) was time consuming.

In a statement issued here, he said that initially these doctors, who include specialist would be appointed on contractual basis.

Wahab said that Sindh cabinet had already approved the appointment of doctors in its last meeting. He said that the degrees of doctors would be verified before their appointment.

He said that the appointed doctors would later be required to pass the SPSC examination. The appointment of doctors would start soon and in this regard, necessary instructions have been issued to the Health Department. Adding that owing to the decision shortage of doctors in the government hospitals would be met and the masses of Sindh would get relief soon.
