A policeman was killed while two passers-by were injured when robbers opened fire during a bank heist, here on Monday. Police said that armed robbers barged into a private bank branch in Kuchlak area of Quetta and took the staff hostage at gun point and started looting the cash.
The policemen deployed near the scene of the robbery on getting information rushed to the spot. On seeing the cops the robbers opened fire at them. As a result a head constable was killed and two passers-by were injured. The dacoits managed to flee with the looted booty. The body and injured were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.
