Clarification

This is apropos a Business Recorder editorial carried by the newspaper on Wednesday 6th January. It has referred to a protest by M/s. Maqbool-Zarghoon JV for not awarding contract to the lowest bidder for the construction of the Zhob highway. The National Highway Authority has clarified that contracts for the construction of the N-50 and N-70 Zhob highway have been awarded to the lowest bidders in accordance with the advertised evaluation criteria that incorporated 'capacity' of the bidder as an element.
According to the clarification M/s.Maqbool-Zarghoon JV have shown their satisfaction on the process followed by NHA.
