Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has urged the government to resolve all disputed issues through dialogues with the political stakeholders. Talking to media persons at Multan International Airport on Saturday, Yusuf Raza Gilani said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should take leadership of all political parties on board to find resolution of issues through consensus and acceptable for all.He said the incumbent government had completed its half tenure and it should fulfil promises made during campaign of general election 2013.
The former prime minister claimed that PPP during its tenure had adopted agriculture friendly policy in which everything was available at reasonable prices. He said that cotton rate was Rs 5500 per 40kg during the PPP government and his party will continue struggle for the welfare of masses. Gilani said that India should avoid levelling allegations before investigations of any terrorism activity. Responding to a query, he said that Lodhran by-election was contest between two political personalities and that he had felicitated Jahangir Tarin after his victory.
