I am pleased to learn that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is organising 39th FPCCI "Export Trophy Awards" 2015 to acknowledge the successes and contributions of leading persons and organisations. The importance of this award is to encourage the businessmen of Pakistan. Such events which honour the high achievers, serve to promote trade, business and industry in the country. It also encourages the private entrepreneurs to play a more vital role in national development.
We believe that the private sector plays a key role in the growth and development of the national economy. Private sector's involvement also helps in ensuring that the policies are broad-based and are owned by the private entrepreneurs. It is reassuring to note that the Government is pursuing consistency in policies.
I appreciate the FPCCI for its endeavours to promote activities relating to trade, business and industry in the country. I also hope that it will not only continue such laudable activities but also accelerate them. For doing so, the FPCCI may consider devising special schemes to encourage women entrepreneurs in the country.
I am confident that the conferment of awards and public recognition of high achievers will motivate enthusiastic individuals and organisations to explore their creativity and skill and propel them to achieve even higher goals.
Once again, I appreciate the efforts of FPCCI, its President Mian Muhammad Adrees, office bearers and the organisers for holding such an event. I also congratulate all the award winners and hope that they will continue their efforts in future.
